Curtis Lee Brockington
DURHAM — Curtis Lee Brockington, 61, departed his life on August 13, 2014.
He is survived by a host of family, friends and loved ones who will miss him dearly.
There will be a viewing held at Immanuel Temple Seventh-Day Adventist Church on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014, from 11 to 12:00 p.m. and funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m.

Marjorie E. Jesinger
DURHAM — Marjorie E. Jesinger, 76, died suddenly Saturday, August 16, 2014. She was born September 29, 1937 in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Alfred and Elizabeth Warnock Blyth. Marjorie retired, after many years of dedicated service, as a Registered Nurse from Duke Hospital and its affiliates. Marjorie graduated in 1958 from Massachusetts General Hospital School of Nursing. She was a devoted member of Duke Chapel. She loved the North Carolina coast and the mountains.
Surviving are a son, Dr. Robert Arno Jesinger and his wife, Rachel Anna Sablosky of Vacaville, CA; a daughter, Meta Lynn Penwell and husband, Christopher of Minden, NV; five grandchildren, Benjamin Isaiah, Megan Sydney and Claire Gabrielle Penwell, all of Minden, NV, Rena Christine and Aaron Michael Jesinger of Vacaville, CA; and many devoted friends.
The family will be present 4-5 p.m., Thursday, at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, 1113 West Main St., Durham, where Funeral Services will follow at 5 p.m. in The Chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Home. Donations in Marjorie’s memory can be made to the SPCA of Durham County, 200 Petfinder Lane, Durham, NC 27705.

Clifton Jones, Jr.
DURHAM — Mr. Clifton Jones, Jr., 72, departed his life on August 14, 2014 at his home.
He is survived by his two children, one sister and a loving friend.
Funeral service will be held Friday, August 22, 2014 at Holloway Memorial Chapel. Visitation 11:00 am to 12:00 noon and the service at 12 noon.

Rakwon "Ray" Davon Smith
DURHAM — Funeral services for Rakwon "Ray" Davon Smith will be held Thursday, August 21, at 2 p.m. at Faith Assembly Christian Center located at 3120 Fayetteville St., Durham. The family visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
Survivors include mother, Lajunda Lewis; father, Decarus Smith; 5 sisters, 2 brothers; 2 great-grandparents; 4 grandparents; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Tera Bailey White
CHAPEL HILL — Tera Bailey White, 94, of Chapel Hill, died Friday, August 15, 2014, at Carolina Meadows.
Tera was born in 1920 in Crenshaw County, Alabama, the daughter of Henry Hollis and Malissie Jones Bailey. She graduated from Andalusia High School in 1937, from Queens College, Charlotte in 1941 where she served as President of Sigma Mu Scholarship Fraternity and from the UNC School of Library Science in 1943. She was a member of Beta Phi Mu Library Honorary Society. Tera was a Librarian for the Washington County Public Library in Hagerstown, Maryland and a Reference Librarian for the Charlotte Mecklenburg Public Library. In 1972 she joined NC Blue Cross/Blue Shield and managed the Information Center until she retired in 1989.
Tera met her husband Sheldon while attending a Playmakers Theatre performance, and they married in 1951. She loved living in Chapel Hill. Tera was a member of the University United Methodist Church and the NC Botanical Garden, served as a Girl Scout Troop Leader, and took classes in the UNC Botany Department. In 1959 she founded Mrs. White’s Play School, a pre-school for 3-4 year olds, which she owned and managed until 1972.
Surviving are a daughter Melissa White and husband Steven Brostoff of Wadmalaw Island, SC; a daughter Frances White of Webster Grove, MO; a son Henry Sheldon White, Jr. and wife Joyce Garcia of Salt Lake City, UT; seven grandchildren: Seth and Tera Brostoff; Julie, Liz, and Alex White; Michael and Andrew White; a sister-in-law Mary White Cheek of Durham; a brother-in-law Eugene Michal of Golden, CO; and many beloved nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by her husband Henry Sheldon White, Sr., who died in 2007, and by two sisters Esther Lois Bailey of Crenshaw County, AL and Sara Bailey Michal of Golden, CO.
Arrangements for the memorial service will be announced at a future date.
