DURHAM – Funeral services for Ms. Tisha Tori Bumpers-Smith, 36, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Calvary United Church of Christ, 1715 Athens Street. Public viewing and visitation beginning at Noon.
Survivors include her husband, Tyrone Smith; sons, Tori Bumpers and Torchea Bumpers; mother, Pamela B. Stone (Dean); father, McClinton Jones; grandmothers, Torchy Bumpers and Hassie Jones (Thomas); sister, Tovia Brodie; brothers, McClinton Jones Jr. (Johnetta), Antwoine Jones (Shonte-Hayes) and Nikki Stone (Stephanie); aunts, uncles, god relatives.

Quinton Gerod Cameron
DURHAM - Funeral services for Mr. Quinton Gerod Cameron (40) of Durham, NC will be conducted on today at 1 p.m. from the Victory at Calvary Church, and the interment will follow in the Glennview Memorial Garden. The family will meet with their friends one hour before the funeral service.
Survivors are one daughter, Ms. Quintals Alston; one sister, Mrs. Tonya Caviness Small; his father, Mr. Eddie Lewis Wilds, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Robert Lee Davis
DURHAM – Funeral services for Robert Lee Davis, 76, of 3103 Cedarwood Street, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at West Durham Baptist Church, 1901 Athens Street. Family visitation with Masonic rites, 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at the church.
He was a U.S. Army Korean Conflict veteran.
He retired from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in Research Triangle Park after 35 years.
He was a member of West Durham Baptist Church where he served on the Senior Usher Board, Trustee Board and Finance Committee.
A well-known loyal member and leader of the Masonic community, he was affiliated with A.S. Hunter Lodge #825, Durham Consistory #218 PHA and Zafa Temple #176, PHA.
Survivors include a son, Jeffrey K. Davis (Danita); stepson, Kenneth A. James (Rose); six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Amanda Screws (Charles) and Cheryl Davis Bradford; three brothers, James C. Davis, Charles E. Wright Sr. (Cora) and John W. Davis.

Denise Olivia McMillan-Liles
DURHAM — Denise Olivia McMillan-Liles, 55, of Durham, died Friday, March 29, 2013 at Duke University Medical Center. She was the daughter of Cora J. McLeod and the late James F. McLeod, born May 23, 1957.
Denise was employed by the Durham Public School system as a high school teacher for many years. She was then employed by Measurement Inc. until she became disabled in 2008. She completed her studies at Durham High School and her secondary education at North Carolina Central University.
She is survived by her husband, Michael A. Batts of Durham; two daughters, Karleshia Daye Jones and Krystal Daye, both of Durham; two brothers, George Green (Shirley) of Rochester, New York and James F. McLeod Jr. (Barbara) of Durham; four grandchildren, Kassan, Khalil, Kayla, Kaiden.
A memorial service will be held in her honor on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Mount Vernon Baptist Church at 1007 S. Roxboro St. Durham, NC 27707. Family hour will be held at 11 a.m., and the memorial will be held at 12 p.m.

Sumega Richmond Solomon
DURHAM - Mrs. Sumega Richmond Solomon, daughter of the late John Henry Richmond and Georgianna Carlton Richmond, was born Nov. 21, 1913 in Durham. She passed peacefully on April 1, 2013.
Sumega retired from the Ligett and Myers Tobacco Company after working 31 years as an inspector. She was a long time and faithful member of First Calvary Baptist Church and the Elks Salome Temple number 704 for over 50 years.
Cherishing her memory are son, retired USA Army officer, William Massey (Annette); one grandson, William Massey Jr.; niece, Delois Cook; nephew, Morris Richmond; Kelly Foster; Mary Brooks; and special neighbor and friend, Cynthia Williams.
Funeral services will be today at First Calvary Baptist Church, 1311 Morehead Avenue. Services will start at 12 noon. Visitation will be an hour before service.
Scarborough and Hargett Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Edwin C. “Bunny” Wearing
DURHAM — Edwin C. “Bunny” Wearing, 68, departed this life unexpectedly on March 30, 2013 at Durham Regional Hospital. Mr. Wearing was born in Durham, NC to the late Henry Robert and Loreaster Holloway Wearing. He was retired from the Durham Public Schools. He leaves to cherish his memory daughters, Deborah L. Wilson, Sandra D. Ham; sons, Andrew Paulk, Kenneth Lunsford, Lamont Ross; his sister, Ms. Patricia A. Wearing and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 6, 2013 at 12 noon at Seedtime & Harvest Fellowship Church, 804 Berwyn Ave. 27704. Arrangements entrusted to Scarborough & Hargett Funeral Home.
Edith Paisley Murphy
February 6, 1922- April 2, 2013
CHAPEL HILL — Edith Murphy, 91, of Chapel Hill, NC, died April 2, 2013. She was born in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia, the daughter of Edgar Lee Paisley and Samullea Hash. Edith was a graduate of Lees-McRae College.
Edith was predeceased by her first husband, Kemp Battle Nye; and brothers, Paul and Robert Paisley. She is survived by one son, Kemp Battle Nye Jr.; sister, Dorothy Haynes; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In 1968 Edith married Captain Douglas Murphy who predeceased her by a year.
Edith, a native Chapel Hillian, truly beloved by all, was an avid Tar Heel fan and a diehard yellow dog democrat.
There will be a visitation service today, April 5th from 1 to 2:45 p.m. at Walker’s Funeral Home, 120 West Franklin St. Chapel Hill, NC 27516 followed by the Funeral service in Walker’s F.H. Chapel at 3:00.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Boys and Girls Homes of North Carolina, 400 Flemington Dr. Lake Waccamaw, NC 28450 in honor of Edith.
