Rev. Johnny Wilson Sr.
DURHAM — Rev. Johnny Wilson Sr., 68, passed away on January 28, 2013.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Hinton Wilson; six children, Brenda Wilson (Dewey), Theresa Santiago (Jimmy), Sandra Wilson, Stanley Wilson (Vinita), Delphine Wilson, and Johnny Wilson Jr., all of Durham.
Funeral services will be held at Union Chapel Baptist Church, Butner, Monday, February 4th at 2 p.m.
Tina Marie Raneri
HILLSBOROUGH - Tina Marie Raneri was born Jul 21, 1958 in Anderson, S.C. and died Jan 30, 2013 in Hillsborough.
Her parents were Alfred A Raneri Jr (1933-1991) and Dorothy H Baxter (1937-2005).
She was the granddaughter of Alfred A Raneri Sr. (1905-1982) and wife, Madeline A Malloy (1904-1968), and Theodore Baxter (1904-) and wife, Lamina Champaigne (1899-).
Tina is preceded in death by her grandparents, her parents and siblings, Marci Anne (1956-2011) and Mark Anthony (1957-1993). She leaves to mourn her passing her brother, Alfred; her companion, Wyatt; and many friends.
Tina was raised in Durham and graduated from Durham High School and Durham Tech. She spent some time in Hawaii before getting a job with the City of Durham where she worked for several years in GIS/mapping. She most recently worked at Sunderland Engineering as electrical designer and intern office manager where she is surely missed.
A memorial service is being planned.
Nell Long Jordan
HURDLE MILLS — Nell Long Jordan, age 86, formerly of Etzold Painter Road, died Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Roxboro Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She was daughter of the late Rainey Calvin Long and Eugenia Pearl Daniel Long. Mrs. Jordan was wife of the late Marcus McCoy Jordan and mother of the late Patricia Jordan Briggs. Mrs. Jordan was retired from Durham Drapery Company and was of the Christian faith.
Surviving are her son, Dale Jordan and wife, Kathy, of Fort Mills, S.C.; her son-in-law, Jimmy Briggs of Hurdle Mills; three grandchildren, Marcus D. Jordan Jr. and wife, Stephanie, of Hurdle Mills, Dr. Dedrick Jordan and wife, Scotty, of Chapel Hill, and Brent Briggs and wife, Kelly, of Hurdle Mills; and four great grandchildren, Mary Jordan, Collin Jordan, Stephen Jordan, and Briley Briggs.
The family will receive friends 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday, February 4, 2013 at Brooks & White Funeral Home and other times at the home of her son-in-law, Jimmy Briggs, 210 Etzold Painter Road, Hurdle Mills.
The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Brooks & White Chapel with the Rev. Vernon Wilkerson officiating Burial will be in the Burchwood Cemetery.
