Barbara Rosenbaum Dunman
DURHAM - Barbara Rosenbaum Dunman, aged 63, of Durham, NC, went to be with the Lord on April 23rd, 2013.
Barbara was born July 24th, 1949 in Rockingham County, NC. She graduated from Orange High School in 1967. She retired from North Carolina Mutual Wholesale Drug Company. Barbara touched the lives of many people with her big heart and smile.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Kate Dunman Lloyd; her son, Carlton Daniel Dunman; a granddaughter, Kelen; and a sister, Cathy Fearrington. She was proceeded in death by her parents, John and Sadie Clark; a grandson, Ethan; and brother, Harvey. 
A memorial service for Barbara will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at 5722 Willet Rd, Durham NC, 27705. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to www.CJDsurveillance.com.

Larry Gene Fortner Sr.
DURHAM - Mr. Larry Gene Fortner Sr., 73, of Durham, died on Tuesday, April 23, 2013.
Mr. Fortner was born in West Virginia to the late Wonnie and Illene Booth Fortner. He was a retired truck driver for Earl Latta Grading.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home.

Noreen Marie Halley
DURHAM — Noreen Marie Halley, 48, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Duke University Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
Leaving to mourn are her dear friend, partner and fiancé, Geir-Ole Ellingsen; her parents, Denis Halley and Frances Halley of Newfoundland; her brothers, Gary (Donna) and David (Valerie); nephews and nieces, Andrew, Mathew, Catherine and Emily; and a large circle of friends at Duke University Medical Center, especially her co-workers on 4200. Special mention to Chuck and Eve Spencer, DaiWai & Cindy Olsen. Special thanks to Dr. Danny Laskowitz and the doctors and nurses of the Medical ICU at Duke University Hospital.

JeJuan Jontiel "Jay-Jay" Taylor Jr.
DURHAM — JeJuan Jontiel "Jay-Jay" Taylor Jr., age 19, departed from us on Thursday, April 18, 2013.
He is survived by his mother, Nakecha Snipes Taylor; father, JeJuan Jontiel Taylor Sr. (Christellar); 10 sisters, a maternal and paternal grandmother, a maternal grandfather, two great grandmothers, aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins, and a host of relatives and friends.
JeJuan enjoyed life to the fullest! His smile and sense of humor brought joy to everyone.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the Church of the Apostolic Revival, 1207 Angier Avenue. Apostle John Bennett will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12 -1 p.m., one hour prior to the service.

Dr. Kim Marie Walsh
April 16, 1960 – April 23, 2013

CHAPEL HILL — Dr. Kim Marie Walsh, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend and colleague, died at home on April 23, 2013. Kim was born on April 16, 1960 in Milwaukee Wisconsin. She attended Monona Grove High School, Dartmouth College, Duke University School of Medicine, and the University of North Carolina School of Public Health, earning her Medical Degree, Masters in Public Health, and Board Certification in Family Medicine.
She fell in love with North Carolina, where she made her home with her family in rural Orange County. She served as Medical Director of Alamance and then Durham County Health Departments between 1991 and 2001. Most recently, she served as Medical Director at Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Kim loved the outdoors, and she was an avid hiker, runner and swimmer. She loved to cook and share meals with family and friends.
She met her husband, Dr. Daniel James Kenan, at Duke Medical School, and they were married in 1990. She is survived by her husband, her son, Alexander Kenan; her daughter, Anna Kenan; her parents, Eugene and Jeanette Walsh of Madison, Wisconsin; and her sister, Sharon Walsh of Madison, Wisconsin. She leaves behind many treasured friends and colleagues who will remember her for her dedication and her warm and generous heart.

Elizabeth Bronaugh
COLORADO SPRINGS, COL — Elizabeth Bronaugh, 85, passed on to Glory in the early hours of April 20, 2013 in Colorado Springs.  
Elizabeth was born on April 11, 1928 in Durham, North Carolina to the late Willy Cooke and Lizzie Shepherd.
Elizabeth is survived by her sister, Janie Mercer; children, Saundra (Milton) McBride, Craig, Elwood, Claudette and Lynda Johnson; grandchildren, Mahogany (Christopher) Roberts, Madison Malik McBride and Dupree Johnson; great grandchildren, Trinity and Tzyiah Declue. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and their families. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her first husband, Clemmie Johnson; second husband, Stanley T. Bronaugh; daughter, Sharon Johnson; and brother, Ronnie Thompson.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Friday, April 26, 2013 at the Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 E. Fountain Boulevard in Colorado Springs. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Shrine of Remembrance.  Private entombment will take place at the Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum.
