DURHAM — Mrs. Esther Mallatratt, 87, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Duke Medical Center. She was born in Allentown, PA to the late John and Theresa Granitz Hessinger. Mrs. Mallatratt was predeceased by her husband, Alvin Samuel Mallatratt.
She is survived by her daughters, Lee Mallatratt; Kim Evarts and husband, John; Jill Mallatratt; son, Sam Mallatratt and wife, Kim and grandchild, Sydney Lee Mallatratt.

DURHAM – Funeral services for Mrs. Robin Lynette Sanders McNeil, 50, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at My Savior’s Way AFJC, 1850 Hillandale Road. Family visitation, 1 hour prior to service.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Lee McNeil; sons, Franklin and Lamont; four stepsons; sisters, Lillian (James) and Angela (Romeo); brothers, Michael (Lois), Kenneth (Lillie), Allen and Cecil.

Floyd Stamford Thomas
DURHAM — Floyd Stamford Thomas, 83, departed his life on April 18, 2013 at the Durham VA Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife, Dyann Thomas; four daughters; six sons; two brothers; two sisters; and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 25, at New Covenant United Holiness Church at 11 a.m. with visitation at 10 a.m.

Annie Louise Whack
DURHAM — Memorial service for Annie Louise Whack, 60, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at St. James Full Gospel Baptist Church, 1305 W. Club Boulevard. Family visitation, 1 hour prior to service.
Survivors include a daughter, Tamika M. Whack; sons, Tony B. Whack and Knowledge Truth; seven grandchildren; sister, Susie W. Surles; brothers, Horace Whack Jr., Bradley Whack, Arthur Whack and Jesse Whack.

Mary Jane Grinstead Taylor
HURDLE MILLS – Mrs. Mary Jane Grinstead Taylor, 84, of the Caldwell Community died Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at her home surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late Cliff and Tinsey Dixon Grinstead. She was the last of twelve children. She was the widow of the late C.B. Taylor. She was a member of the Walnut Grove United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her sons, Charles Taylor (Brenda), Raleigh, Carl Taylor (Deb), and Keith Taylor (Susan); her daughters, Sue Powell (Ed), Hurdle Mills, and Tammy Guy (Bryan), Hillsborough.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday in Walnut Grove United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall.
