DURHAM
Violet Gupton White

DURHAM — Violet Gupton White, 92, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2014 at Eno Point Assisted Living, Durham.  Born in Florence County, South Carolina, Mrs. White was the daughter of Lewis Presley Sauls and Mary Elizabeth Mims Sauls.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edwin T. White; her former spouse, Perry Linwood Gupton; a son, Kenneth L. Gupton; two grandchildren, David Goghill and Kevin Gupton; one great-grandchild, Joshua A. Hall; a sister, Mary Willie Jackson; and five brothers, Kenneth Sauls, Jack Sauls, Bill Sauls, Jerry Sauls and Jimmy Sauls.
Mrs. White is survived by a daughter, Patricia Gupton Coghill and husband Bill; grandchildren, Lisa Coghill Hall and husband Mark, Kathy Gupton Hobby, Marianne Gupton Knapp and husband Randy, and Richard Coghill; two great-grandsons; four great granddaughters; twin great-great grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. on Wednesday in Elmwood Cemetery, in Henderson, with Rev. Mark Hall officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at the cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Sam Coghill, Holden Coghill, Jordan Bell, Lang Coghill, James Williams Jr. and Robert Adcock.

Kimberly Hart Oakley Outlaw

HILLSBOROUGH — Kimberly Hart Oakley Outlaw, 55, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014 at her residence. Born May 8, 1959, Mrs. Outlaw was the daughter of Charles Francis Oakley and the late Joanna Hart Oakley. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Francis Oakley Jr. Mrs. Outlaw was a Title Clerk at the North Carolina License Agency.
In addition to her father, Mrs. Outlaw is survived by husband, Kenneth Outlaw; step-son, Clay Outlaw; two uncles, James Hart and wife Patricia, and Millard F. Oakley; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Temple Baptist Church, Durham, with Rev. Mark Mofield officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

Allen Benton Walker

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Allen Benton Walker, 83, died Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at North Florida Regional Hospital, in Gainesville FL, after a brief illness.
Born July 31, 1930 in Hillsborough, North Carolina, Allen served in the United States Army in Germany during the Korean War and was honorably discharged.
Allen was predeceased by his parents, Addison and Donnie Walker, and 14 bothers and sisters.
Allen is survived by his wife, Carole Walker of Gainesville, FL; one sister, Mary Elizabeth Carter of Graham, NC; 5 children, David, Teri, Bonnie, Allen, and Randy; 5 step-children, Laura, Pam, Mike, Mary, and Eddie; 5 grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 9 step-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at New Sharon United Methodist Church in Hillsborough, North Carolina, Saturday, May 31 at 11am.
