Johnnetta Elaine Jenkins Moore
DURHAM — Johnnetta Elaine Jenkins Moore, 67, departed this life on May 19, 2014 at Duke Medical Center.
She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, one son, four grandchildren, three sisters, one brother, two aunts and four great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday at Refiner's Fire Community Church at 1003 East Main Street, Durham, NC, with a viewing at 6:00 pm.

Curt Kenneth Lassiter Sr.
MEBANE — Mr. Curt Kenneth Lassiter Sr., age 76 of Mebane, NC passed 4:45am Wednesday May 21, 2014 at the Presbyterian Home of Hawfields after several years of failing health. Born in Alamance County he was the son of the late Annie Lassiter Isley. He was retired from Walter Kiddie of Mebane and was of the Episcopal faith.
Surviving are his wife Sandra Hawkins Lassiter of the home, daughter Judith Lassiter Schledorn and husband Peter of Swepsonville, son Curt Kenneth Lassiter Jr. and wife Allison of Mebane, grandchildren Zachary Lassiter and Casandra Norris, step-grandchildren Neil Schledorn and wife Tracy, Monica Schledorn, step-great-great-grandchild Carlin Schledorn, brother Don Lassiter of California sister Geraldine Brande, Pineville, NC. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Basil Lassiter and Bill Cole.
The family will receive friends at the McClure Funeral Home in Mebane on Friday, May 23, 2014 from 6 pm until 8pm.
Funeral Services will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, May 24, 2014 in the McClure Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Courtney Davis-Shoemaker officiating, burial will follow in the Hawfields Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

John Thomas Austin, Sr.
HILLSBOROUGH — Mr. John Thomas Austin, Sr., 81, died Tuesday, May 20, 2014. He was born and lived in Orange County all his life. He attended the Orange County schools and later received his GED from Alamance Community College. He worked at Cone Mills before serving in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He retired from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. He did upholstery work for many years. He was a member of Palmer’s Grove United Methodist Church where he was the cemetery caretaker. He was a mason in Eagle Lodge #19.
Surviving are his wife, Mabel Miller Austin, two sons, John T. Austin, Jr., Hillsborough, and Dale Robert Austin, Sr., Mebane, five grandchildren: Dale Austin, Jr., Ashley Austin, Jennifer Austin, John Thomas Austin, III, and Jacob Austin, six great grandchildren: Ashliegh, Greenly, Alex, Maniah, Aydan, and Addyson, two brothers, Curtis Austin, Jr. and Frank Austin (Helen), and his aunt, Helen Gates Davis. He was predeceased by his parents, Custis Austin, Sr. and Annie Lou Gates Austin, his sister, Jo Ann Austin Wilson, and his brother, Norman Austin.
Funeral services will be held 4 PM Friday in Walker’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Palmer’s Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Thursday in Walker’s Funeral Home. firstname.lastname@example.org.
Anne Small Dickerson
HENDERSON — Anne Small Dickerson, 88, of Henderson, NC, died May 21, 2014 at her home. She was born in Reidsville, North Carolina, to the late James Henry and Blanche Hardy Small. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, John Hillman Dickerson. Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 10am at the First Baptist Church of Henderson by the Reverend Dr. Marion D. Lark and Reverend Dr. Ronald S. Cava. A graveside service will be held at 3pm Saturday at Reidlawn Cemetery in Reidsville. She is survived by her children Beth D. Hoyle and husband, Mike, of Durham, NC, John Dickerson and wife, Nancy, of Raleigh, NC, Bill Dickerson of Nashville, TN, Jeff Dickerson and wife, Joanie, of Kittrell, NC, and Sarah Dickerson of Clayton, NC; One sister, Elisabeth Spencer and husband Tommy of Sugarland, TX; one brother, David Small and wife Sandra of Reidsville; her grandchildren Elisabeth, Will, Meredith, Hill, Kathryn, Patrick, Cameron, David, Lin, and Jeffrey; and 13 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the home, 209 Burwell Avenue.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Ronald McDonald House, at 506 Alexander Avenue, Durham, NC, in memory of Anne Small Dickerson.
