Bruce Edward Gagnon
DURHAM — Bruce Edward Gagnon, 66, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at his home. He was born in Providence, RI to the late Joseph Alfred Gagnon and the late Claire Kane Gagnon. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Linda Roberge.
Mr. Gagnon served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He retired as a Project Manager at IBM in 2003. He enjoyed woodworking in his spare time and visiting with his friends at the Holden Beach VFW Post 8866.
Bruce is survived by his wife of 44 years, Alice “Deanie” Gagnon; son, Rustin Gagnon and wife, Sherri; stepmother, Denise Gagnon; sister, Candace Shuman; and a loving extended family.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday at Clements Funeral Home in Durham. There is no service scheduled.

Carolyn Stanley Rogers
DURHAM — Carolyn Stanley Rogers, 68, passed away on Friday, May 9th, 2014. She leaves to cherish her memory her immediate family, sisters Verdell Williams and Gwendolyn Jackson, niece Shari Williams and children.
Services will take place Saturday, May 17th, 2014 at Scarborough and Hargett Chapel, 923-B Old Fayetteville Rd., Durham NC 27707 at 12 p.m. A viewing will be held one hour prior to service.

Judith Johnson
CLERMONT, Fla. — On Friday, April 25, 2014, Judith Johnson, of Clermont, FL, formerly of Hillsborough & Durham, NC, was called from this earth to join her Heavenly Father. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Judy leaves behind her loving husband and best friend, Clarence Johnson; two sons, Kevin Johnson (Robin) and Bill Johnson (Jennifer); eight daughters, Christina Cook (Tim), Linda Crabtree (David), Carol Bell (Coy), Mary Skok, Joanne Ahumada (Mo), Kathleen Johnson, Margaret Haferman (Mike), and Molly Mancuso (Tony); and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind three brothers, Joe Frese (Mary), Jim Frese, and Jerry Frese (Dolores). Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary Frese of Baltimore, MD. Judy graduated from Notre Dame in Baltimore in 1951, where she excelled in sports and was a medalist swimmer. She met Clarence in September of 1953 and they were married a year later in Baltimore. Judy’s smile and laugh were contagious. She was a friend and role model to everyone she met and to many she didn’t know. Judy loved spending time with her family and was active in church and social activities. She loved to square dance and enjoyed attending 47 Club luncheons with Clarence. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A celebration of Judy’s life will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 216 Governor Burke Rd., Hillsborough, NC, with a visitation on Thursday, May 22, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM and a Funeral Mass on Friday, May 23, at noon.
