Hattie Mae Dennis
DURHAM — Funeral services for Mother Hattie Mae Dennis (72) of Durham, N.C., will be conducted on Friday at 2:00 p.m. from the United for Christ Outreach Ministries and the interment will follow in the Glennview Memorial Gardens. The family will meet with their friends 1 hour before service.
Survivors are 2 sons, Mr. Willie Earl Peterson and Mr. Johnny Ray Peterson; 3 daughters, Mrs. Angelia Jones (Greg), Mrs. Shawanda Alston (Willie) and Mrs. Carol Highsmith (Cleveland); 1 sister, Ms. Louise Peterson; 20 grandchildren and 21 great-grands; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Final care arrangements are entrusted to Hanes Funeral Service.

Gloria Jean Perry
DURHAM — Mrs. Gloria Jean Perry, 69, passed on Sunday, May 11, 2014. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Willie A. Perry, sons Daryl and Anthony, daughters Stephanie and Annette.
Services will take place on Friday, May 16, 2014 at Peace Missionary Baptist Church, 2608 Hwy 55, at 1:00 p.m. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service.
Arrangements are entrusted to Scarborough and Hargett Memorial Chapel and Gardens, Inc.

Kenneth White
DURHAM — Funeral services for Kenneth White will be held Friday, May 16 at 12 noon at Pilgrim Baptist Church, 2420 S. Roxboro Street. The family visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to service.
Survivors include 4 sisters, Arnetta Louise White Perry, Barbara Ann Harris, Delores "Lois" Landis and Saundra Smith; an ex-wife, Patricia Ramsey White; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Janice McDonald
HILLSBOROUGH — Janice McDonald, 70, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Hock Family Pavilion. She was born in Sedgwick County, KS to the late William Benjamin Nation and the late Dorothy Harris Nation. Janice retired from UNC Hospital as an Occupational Therapist. She was also a member of the Friendly Civitan Club of Durham; PEO Chapter F Durham.
Ms. McDonald is survived by her daughter, Melodie Lynn McDonald; brother, William David Nation (Karleen) of Germantown, TN; nephew, Billy Nation; niece, Amber Martin (Craig), great-niece Ava Martin, and great-nephew Cash Martin of Savannah, GA.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Clements Funeral Chapel in Durham. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 12-1 p.m. Following the service refreshments will be served in the Gathering Room at Clements.
