June Frazier Evans

DURHAM — Mrs. June Frazier Evans died peacefully at her home on Monday, June 10, 2013. She was born on December 27, 1936 in Burlington, NC and was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Robert C. and Carolyn M. Frazier. She retired from John Umstead Hospital in Butner in 1998.
She is survived by Raymond, her husband of 55 years; two daughters, Kathy Gilliam (Gary) of Creedmoor and Kim Hall (Mike) of Durham; four grandchildren, Justin Hall (Christina), Morgan Hall, Abby Gilliam and Zach Gilliam.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation with family and friends will be held Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Clements Funeral Home in Durham.

Robbie Dale Harris
DURHAM — Mr. Robbie Dale Harris, 53, of Durham passed away on May 29, 2013 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Mr. Harris was born in Durham on January 28, 1960 to Ollie Medlin Pollock of Creedmoor, NC and the late Howard Johnson Harris.
He attended Southern High School in Durham. He also served 20 years in the US Navy and retired as a Chief Aviation Ordnanceman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golf.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Yvonne Roa Harris of California; sisters, Rebecca Lane and husband, Donald, Debbie Pollard and husband, Tommy of Hillsborough, and Cheryl Harris of Hillsborough; brothers, Howard Harris and wife, Robin of Creedmoor, Jim Pollock Jr. and wife, Jill, and Anthony Dale Pollock, both from Hillsborough.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 14, 2013 at the Salisbury National Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the NC National Honor Guard and the Rowan County Veterans Honor Guard.

WINSTON-SALEM — Claude Edward Teague Jr., 88, of Winston-Salem died peacefully on Friday, June 7, 2013. A full obituary was published on Sunday, June 9.
A graveside funeral will be held at the Old Chapel Hill Cemetery on Wednesday, June 12 at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends in Winston-Salem at 645 Arbor Road today, June 11 from 6 to 8 p.m., and in Chapel Hill at the Carolina Inn immediately after the funeral service.


James A. “Jimmy” Walker Jr.
HOUSTON, TX — James A. “Jimmy” Walker Jr., of 2502 Marilee Lane, Houston, Texas, age 75, died May 31, 2013.
He is predeceased in death by his father, J. Alfred Walker; and mother, Anne B. Walker.
Survivors include his sister, Ellen Walker Huffman (Bill Sr.) of Burlington, North Carolina; and his nephews and niece, William H. Huffman Jr. (Debby) of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, John R. Huffman (Anne) of Cary, North Carolina, David R. Huffman (Robin) of Burlington, North Carolina, Anne M. Huffman of Raleigh, North Carolina; two great nieces; four great nephews; three great-great nieces; and two great-great nephews. Jimmy is also survived by very special friends, Rosalind Stiskin and Georgia Shebay of Houston, Texas, Phyllis Schmidt of New York, New York, and Diane Divine of Raleigh, North Carolina.
Jimmy was born and raised in Durham, North Carolina. Following graduation from Durham High School in 1956, he earned a Commercial Art/Interior Design degree at the School of Visual Arts, New York. Following school, he worked as an interior designer for W.J. Sloane in New York and Houston for twenty-three years prior to working as an independent designer in the Houston area. He will be remembered by his family and friends for his artistic talent and great sense of humor.
Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Durham, North Carolina with a graveside service on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 11 a.m. The Reverend David A. Sloop of Good Shepard Lutheran Church of Raleigh, North Carolina will preside.
A memorial service will be held in Houston, Texas at a later date.
