Willie Thomas Gilchrist Sr.
DURHAM — Willie Thomas Gilchrist Sr., 82 departed his life on July 24, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Icelene Gilchrist, 5 children, 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends. He resided in New York, New Jersey and then moved to Durham, NC in 1999.
Funeral services will be at Holloway Memorial Funeral Home on Monday at 2:00 pm. Visitation at 1:00 pm.

Ila “Tootsie” Reams Odom
DURHAM — Ila “Tootsie” Reams Odom, 83, of Durham died on Saturday, July 26, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Percy King Reams and Lucy Jackson Reams. She was president and treasurer of Russell Odom Builder, Inc., wrote poetry, designed and created miniature clothes pin dolls, and was also an avid frog collector.
She is survived by her husband of sixty seven years, Russell Odom, one son, Kevin Brian Odom of Durham; three daughters, Cheryl O. White of Durham; Carol Moore of San Antonio Texas; Marguerite O. Peaden and husband Van of Durham; one brother George “Al” Reams of Spring Hope; four grandchildren, Wendy Garcia, Christy Bradshaw, Daniel Peaden, Mark Knight, four great-grandchildren, Austin Garcia, J.T. Garcia, Mason Bradshaw and Cash Bradshaw
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Rev. Hugh O’Shields will officiate. Active pallbearers will be Daniel Peaden, Mark Knight, Jimmy McLeod, Ken Parker, Chad Parker and Richard Lyon.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home, 3227 Rowena Ave. Flowers are acceptable or donations can be made to Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, 2200 W. Katie Thomasson Sink
DURHAM — Mrs. Katie Thomasson Sink, 88, wife of the late William Horace Sink, died Saturday morning at Hillcrest Convalescent Center.
Mrs. Sink was born and raised in Durham. She attended the Durham City schools. For many years she was employed as a Secretary for First Union National Bank. She was a former member of the Southern High School Committee. She was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Sink is survived by her son, Craig Sink, and his wife, Leslie, of New Bern, NC; grandchildren, William A. Sink, Jr., James Eric Sink, Dr. Ian Scott Sink, Kristin Sink Jones, Britt Treece, John Aaron Treece, Nicole Sink, Kimberly Sink; 18 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Paula Sink of Durham, NC.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Sink was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Bishop and Naomi Hagler Thomaason, and her son, William A. Sink.
The family will receive visitors Monday evening from 7-9:00 pm at Howerton & Bryan Funeral Home.

Bond Anderson III
TIMBERLAKE— Bond Anderson III, died Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Peak Resources- Treyburn.
Bond was born in Columbus, MS, to the late Bond Anderson, Jr. & Regina Gaston Anderson. He was educated in the Columbus, MS, County Public Schools and was a graduate of the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. He was a veteran serving in the US Army during the Korean War. He served as City Accountant in Columbia, SC, Director of Finance in Durham, NC, and Fiscal Administrator of St. Petersburg, FL. He returned to Durham in 1977 and opened his CPA firm where he practiced until he retired in May 2013.
Bond was of the Episcopal faith and a member of St. Philip's Church in Durham. Bond was an avid golfer and loved the game. He belonged to Croasdaile Country Club and served as a member of the Board of Directors and as President.
Bond is survived by his wife Anice Anderson, of Timberlake; six children, Katherine Anderson, Ira G. Anderson, Patricia Crider, Sandy Brady, Mike Brady, and Keith Brady; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM Tuesday, July 29, 2014 in the Brooks & White Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in the Hebron United Methodist Church Cemetery (2325 Mebane Oaks Rd, Mebane, NC 27302).
