DURHAM — Mr. Shane Wynne, 31, died Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Duke Regional Hospital. Mr. Wynne was born in Durham County, the son of Chip and Pam Wynne. He was employed by Wynco. Mr. Wynne was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Tommy and Betsy Fuller.
In addition to his parents, Shane is survived by a daughter, Madisyn Ennis, and her mother, Amanda Ennis, of Creedmoor; brother, Robert “Robbie” Wynne and wife, Marilyn, and their children, Kaiya, Ronin and Tanith, of Lillington; paternal grandparents, Robert and Mary Ann Wynne; uncles, Thomas Fuller and wife, Billie, Michael Fuller and wife, Ron-Marie, and Chuck Wynne and wife, Rita; aunts, Robyn Wynne and Renee Wynne; and many loving cousins.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff McCarthy officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made for Madisyn in care of Chip & Pam Wynne, 3868 Guess Rd., Durham, NC 27705.

William Hill Efland, Sr.
May 8, 1928 to July 2, 2014
EFLAND — William “Billy” Efland, 86, of Efland, NC passed away, Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at his home with his family by his side.
Billy was a dedicated and loving family man with a quiet, simple nature and infectious grin. He was committed to his church and community. A long-standing elder in his church, Billy was known for his generosity and big heart to help others. He had an affinity for cars of all types and recently restored a 48 Chevrolet with the help of friends and family. He enjoyed gardening and tinkering in his shop. Billy spent most of his career as a technician at the Efland Hosiery Mill and served in the National Guard during the Korean War.
An informal gathering with light refreshments will be held to honor and celebrate Billy’s life Saturday, July 5, 11:00 am to 1:30 pm at the Efland United Methodist Church, 3418 U.S. 70, Efland, NC. Family and friends are encouraged to share favorite memories and photographs of Billy.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 6, 2pm at Efland Presbyterian Church, 3700 U.S. 70, Efland, NC. After the funeral, the family will welcome visitors at the home place.

Billy is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dorothy May “Dot” Efland; his seven children, Brenda Long (Edwin), Lucy Castle, Cindy Hale, Christie Martin-Gray (Marshall), Bill Efland, Jr. (Shelly), Mike Efland (Nancy) and Jaye Efland; his brothers, Thomas D. Efland (Helen), Franklin B. Efland (Florine), and Robert F. Efland; and his 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren as well as many other relatives.
Preceding him in death were two sisters, Bessie E. Hoffler and Caroline E. Harding, and five brothers, John L. Efland, Sr., C. M. Wilson Efland, Herman L. Efland, and M. Benton Efland.
Ira Franklin Torain
BRONX, N.Y. — Ira Franklin Torain, 77, of Bronx, New York , born June 2, 1937 died Monday, June 30, 2014, at Alamance Care Center in Burlington, N.C.
The funeral will be conducted Sunday, 2:00 PM, in Lattisville Grove Church with family visitation 1:30 until 2:00 PM in the church. Burial in church cemetery.
Survivors are his wife, Marie Torain of New York; son, Eddie Torain of Florida; brothers, David Torain, Roger Torain and James Torain, of Timberlake; and sister, Annie Norwood of Cedar Grove.
