George Glover, Jr.
DURHAM — Mr. George Glover, Jr., 77, of Durham, born January 12, 1937 in Oxford, NC, passed on May 23, 2014 in Durham, NC. Service will be at First Calvary Baptist Church, 1311 Morehead Avenue, Durham, NC. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, May 30, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. to 12 noon, all other times at 1105 Sedgefield St., Durham, NC. Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 noon. DURHAM — Montez Hambric, 26, departed his life on May 25, 2014.
He leaves behind his mother Monica Watson and father Mark Hambric Sr. and devoted stepfather Terrell Watson Sr.; his fiancee Laquisha, stepson Keshawn; seven brothers: Mark, Marcus, Terrell, Jason, Jayven, Jayomee, Rashawn; two sisters: Xana, Q”deshia; three uncles: Avery, Anton, Walter; one aunt Makayla; three grandmothers: Elizabeth, Helen, Shirley, one grandfather Charles, one deceased grandfather Walter; other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be in Louisville, Kentucky. A viewing will be held at Holloway Memorial Funeral Home, Saturday, May 31, 2014, from 1:00 pm-7:00 pm.

Dorothy Davis Jackson
DURHAM — Dorothy Davis Jackson, 88, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Duke Regional Hospital. She was born in Pittsylvania County, VA to the late Frank Davis and the late Elizabeth Lane Davis Hobbie. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lenward Jackson, and step-mother, Mary Davis.
Mrs. Jackson is survived by her daughters, Marian Norris (David), Joyce Miska (Jack), Linda Loftis (Wes), Susan Raynor (Bob) and Denise Gunter (William).
A funeral service will be held 3 p.m., Thursday at Clements Funeral Chapel in Durham. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. at Clements Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Hurdle Mills.

William Albert McMillan
DURHAM — William Albert McMillan (Pee Wee) departed his life on May 26, 2014.
He leaves to cherish his memory, three daughters, three sons, nine grandchildren, three sisters, three brothers, and other relatives and friends. Services will be at Russell Memorial C.M.E. Church, Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 1:00 pm with visitation at noon.

Celestine Riddick Pruitt
DURHAM — Celestine Riddick Pruitt, 91, departed her life on May 27, 2014 at Carver Living Center.
She is survived by her special nephew Jesse L Riddick, one sister Bernice Riddick Eason, and other nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held in her hometown, Ahoskie NC, May 31, 2014.

Ella Mae Lamm Wilson
DURHAM — Mrs. Ella Mae Lamm Wilson, age 84, a resident of 904 Raleigh Street died Tuesday afternoon at the Toney Rest Home. God has called another angel home.
Born December 26, 1929 in Nash County, she was the daughter of the late Ervin and Gladys Bowden Lamm. Mrs. Wilson had been employed as a biscuit maker at McDonald’s Restaurant for fifteen years. She was a great and Godly woman, and will truly be missed by all. Her husband, Willie K. Wilson, died in 1988.
Surviving are three daughters, Janice Marie Wilson Keller and husband Todd of Franklinton, Cathy W. King and husband Larry of Zebulon, and Cynthia W. Paschall of Durham; four sisters, Estelle Southers of Wilson, Joyce Lamm of Louisburg, Alice Lamm of Raleigh and Betsy Cone of Middlesex; two brothers, James Lamm of Rocky Mount and Allen Lamm of Four Oaks; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Also preceding her in death were two daughters, Sheila Ann Wilson and Jeanne Carol Wilson, and her son, Ronnie Glenn Wilson.
Graveside funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 PM at the Surl Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Rev. Craig Currin officiating.
The family will receive friends at Howerton & Bryan Funeral Home Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m and at other times at the home of Mrs. Keller, 2140 Sterling Creek Lane, Franklinton.

Patricia Ann Williams
BURLINGTON — Patricia Ann Williams, 57, born August 6, 1956 to Jessie Trollinger and the late George Trollinger, died Saturday, May 24, 2014, at home.
The funeral will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday in First Baptist Church, Glenn Raven. The body will lie in state one hour before the funeral. Burial in the Bradsher Family Cemetery, Hurdle Mills, NC.
Survivors are sons, Tyson and Anthony Haith, daughter, Kandi Trollinger, two step-sons, Brandon and Roosevelt Williams Jr., brother, Stewart Bradsher, sisters, Anita Woods and Jessie Bradsher, 13 grandchildren and a host or aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
Public viewing Thursday, 10:00 AM until 7:00PM. The wake will be held 7:00PM to 8:00 PM at Chavis-Parker Funeral Home.

CREEDMOOR — Mary Rose Tillotson Allen passed away Wednesday, May 28th, 2014 at her home.
Memorial services will be conducted at 7:00 PM, Monday evening, June 2, 2014 at Fellowship Baptist Church by Rev. Dan Hill and Rev. Ellie R. Allen. Burial will be private.
Visitation will be held Monday evening, June 2, 2014 from 6:00 to 7:00 PM prior to the memorial services at Fellowship Baptist Church and at other times at the home.

Thomas Chalmers Allison, Jr.
HILLSBOROUGH — Mr. Thomas Chalmers Allison, Jr., 85, died Wednesday, May 28, 2014. He was born in Durham County to the late Lora and Thomas Allison, Sr. He attended Caldwell School. He worked at Erwin Mills. After serving in the US Army during the Korean War he return to the family farm and later retired from White’s Furniture Company.
Surviving are his daughter, Amanda Allison-Haney (Lee), Efland, his sister, Peggy A. Wynn, Mebane, two grandchildren: Jacob Thomas Haney and Emilee Ann Haney, two nephews: Jimmy Wynn (Wanda), Hurdle Mills, and Thomas Wynn (Jane), PA. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by wife, Bobbie Ann Allison.
Funeral services will be held 3 PM Friday in Walker’s Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Chuck Link. Burial will be in Fairfield Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:30-2:45 PM Friday prior to the service.

Wade “Boss” Johnson
HILLSBOROUGH — Mr. Wade “Boss” Johnson of Hillsborough died April 27th at UNC Hospital. A memorial service will be held at Cedar Grove Methodist Church, 5218 Efland-Cedar Grove Road, Cedar Grove, NC, on Sunday, June 1st at 3pm.
Surviving are Ralph Compton, three sisters and a brother. The family will receive guests at the church after the service.

Myrtle Juanita Torain
CEDAR GROVE — Myrtle Juanita Torain, age 84, died in her home on May 27, 2014.
The funeral will be Saturday, 1:00pm at Lattisville Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be in church cemetery.
Survivors are two sons, Rev. Tony W. Torain (Celestine) and Rev. Scottie Torain (Shandra); one sister, Geraldine Wade (Andrew); one brother, Joseph W. Woody (Rosella).

Eloise Rimmer White
ROXBORO — Eloise Rimmer White, 87, of 391 Wimbledon Dr., Roxboro, died Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Duke University Hospital. Born in Person County, Mrs. White was the daughter of the late Isaac Jordan and Mary Frances Breeze Rimmer and wife of the late David Lawrence White. Mrs. White was part owner of Brooks & White Funeral Home and a member of Long Memorial United Methodist Church.
She was a member of several bridge clubs and a former member of the Christian Woman's Club.
Mrs. White is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley White and Dr. Johnny Bradsher and Laurie White and Robert Wrenn, all of Roxboro; two granddaughters, Mary Kelsey Wrenn and Anna Mackenzie Wrenn, both of Roxboro; one sister, Marjorie "Marge" Lewis Rimmer, of Durham; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11AM, Friday, May 30, 2014, at Brooks & White Chapel by the Rev. Bruce Allen and the Rev. Herbert Brown. Burial will follow in Burchwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-7:30 PM Thursday at the Brooks & White Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be the staff of Brooks & White Funeral Home.

Ronald W. Cartner
LAKE WYLIE, S.C. — Ronald W. Cartner of Fairway Ridge, Lake Wylie, SC died at home, May 22, 2014.
Funeral service will be 3:00 pm, Sunday, May 25, 2014 at River Hills Community Church, with Rev. Gayle Montgomery and Rev. Bruce Jones. The family will receive friends at the River Hills Country Club after the service.
Mr. Cartner was born July 11, 1940 in Durham NC to the late Lawrence A. and Annie Mae Porter Cartner. Ron married his high school sweetheart, JoAnn. He worked for PPG for 21 years then founded his own company, Cartner Glass Systems.
He is survived by his wife Jo Ann C. Cartner, daughter Rhonda Cartner Preston (Zach) of Lake Wylie, son Ronald Reade Cartner (Laura) of Rock Hill, SC, brother Lawrence A. Cartner (Cindy) of Fort Mill, SC, four grandchildren: Ashly Cartner, Reade Cartner, Hayden Cartner, and Cody Cartner.
