Jamie Lloyd
DURHAM - Mr. Jamie Lloyd, 56, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013 at his home. He was born in Durham Co. to the late Griffin and Virginia Dare Winkler Lloyd. Jamie was a lifelong resident of Durham, graduating from Hillside High School in 1975. He was an auto mechanic for over 30 years beginning his career at his parents' service station, Lloyd’s 66 at Main and Broad Street. Currently, he owned and operated his own shop, Forest Hills Service Center. Jamie was an avid baseball lover who coached Little League Baseball for over 10 years. He loved and supported all of Duke’s Athletics. Most of all, Jamie was a devoted father and grandfather and friend to many.
Jamie is survived by his sons, Will Lloyd (Ellen) of New Orleans, LA, Peter Lloyd (Kim) of Rocky Mount, and Benjamin Lloyd of Denver, CO; brother, Charles “Chuck” Griffin Lloyd (Alice) of Durham; former spouse, Marie Myers Lloyd of Chapel Hill; and grandchildren, Ava, Rhys and Griffin Lloyd.
A memorial service will be held 7:30 p.m., Sunday at Clements Funeral Chapel in Durham. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 6 p.m. at Clements Funeral Home in Durham.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Research Institute, 200 S. Park Rd, Suite 100, Hollywood, FL 33021.

Joyce Ann Taylor Gaddy
SNOW CAMP - Joyce Ann Taylor Gaddy, 61, of 5038 Bass Mountain Rd., Snow Camp, NC, went to be with the Lord at 3:40 a.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Alamance Regional Medical Center. Born in Rowland, NC, she leaves behind a husband, Billy Gaddy of the home; daughters, Faye Lynn Gaddy Mayes of Snow Camp and Shannon Gaddy Faucette (Wesley) of Snow Camp; five grandchildren, William Mayes, Carson Mayes, Jacob Mayes, Taylor Faucette, and Tylor Faucette, all of Snow Camp; two sisters, Mabel Gaddy of Burlington and Julia Taylor of Rowland, NC; three nieces, and a host of great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Morgan Taylor and Bertha Huggins Taylor; sister, Dorothy May Taylor; and brother, Danny Taylor.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2013 at McClure Funeral Home in Graham, NC and other times at the residence.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013 at McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham, NC with Pastor Jim Farmer officiating. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. 

Lois Brady Currin
OXFORD — Lois Brady Currin, 94, of 104 W. Quail Ridge Road, Oxford, NC, passed away on Thursday, June 27, at home following a period of declining health. A native of Brunswick County, she was predeceased by her parents, Horace Greeley and Margaret Edwards Brady; by her husband of 47 years, Thomas Benjamin Currin; and by her brother, James Brady. 
She was a member of the Oxford Baptist Church, where she served as President of the Women’s Missionary Union, Departmental Sunday School Superintendent, and sang in the chancel choir. She also served as President of the Oxford Woman’s Club.
She was a graduate of Campbell Junior College and East Carolina College and was a longtime Granville County teacher.
Surviving are her three sons, Samuel Thomas Currin (Margaret) of Raleigh, Horace Benjamin Currin of Oxford, and Thomas Brady Currin (Terry) of Butner; three grandchildren, Ashley Currin Lloyd (Gerald) of Oxford, Samuel Thomas Currin II of Raleigh, and Tyler Brady Currin (Heather) of Butner; two great-grandchildren, Avery Currin of Butner and Brady Lloyd of Oxford; and a sister, Mavis Mahaney of Southport.
A private family service was held on Saturday, June 29th. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.
The family greatly appreciates the love and care provided to their mother during her illness by Ruth Carter.
