Police investigate 2 rape reports
DURHAM – Detectives are investigating two recent reports of rape.
One attack was reported to police Friday in the 100 block of Southerland Street. Another one was reported Sept. 3 in the 1100 block of Lowry Avenue.
In other crime:
- A wedding ring, gold necklace and 30 oxycodone pain pills worth $701 were stolen Friday from a house in the 900 block of Chalk Level Road.
- A 30-year-old man told police he was robbed Sept. 2 in the 1600 block of Juniper Street. He said his wallet, $200, cellphone and identification card were taken.
- Burglars stole nickels, dimes and quarters Sept. 3 from a house in the 4300 block of Holt School Road. Also taken were a 48-inch Samsung television, HP laptop computer, Xbox video game console and 10 games, Adidas bag, iPhone 4S and Dell laptop computer, with a total value of $5,280.
- Two flat-screen televisions were stolen Friday from a house in the 2500 block of West Carver Street. Also taken were coins, two Xbox game consoles, a phone charger, two earrings, three bracelets and two necklaces. Total value of the property was $2,465.
