DCIA banquet postponed due to weather
DURHAM -- Durham Congregations In Action is postponing its annual banquet meeting scheduled for Tuesday night [tonight] due to the forecast for a winter storm. The banquet has been rescheduled for 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3, at Duke Memorial United Methodist Church, 504 W. Chapel Hill St., Durham. Eboni Marshall Turman of Duke Divinity School will still deliver the keynote address. Cost of the dinner is $14. Contact dcia@dcia.org with questions.

County hosts Twitter chat on Wednesday

DURHAM – Durham County Government will host a live chat via Twitter on Wednesday. Deputy Paul Sherwin from the Durham County Office of the Sherriff will be the guest expert for the chat. 
Do you want to know if a Sheriff’s Deputy can write you a ticket? Maybe, you want to know about inmate housing at the Durham County Dentition Center. Or perhaps, you are curious about how to apply for a position with the Durham County Office of the Sheriff.  From 2 to 3 p.m., the public is invited to Tweet the most simple to complex questions they want answers for to @DurhamCounty. All Tweeters are asked to use the conversation hashtag #AskDCo.
