COPLOG: Amber Alert issued for 10-month-old in Durham
Durham police and state officials issued an Amber Alert on Saturday for 10-month-old Tamiyah Elssy Bryant.
She is a black female with brown hair and brown eyes. She is about 18 inches long and weights about 24 pounds. She was last seen wearing a pink shirt and diaper.
She was allegedly abducted by her father, 26-year-old Rodney Francis Bryant. He was last seen driving a 2002 Suzuki with an unknown Washington state tag traveling westbound on Interstate 40 in Durham.
Bryant is described as a 6-0, 220-pound black male. He has black hair and brown eyes. He has tattoos of praying hands and “M.O.B.” on his neck. On the back of his hands, he has “Mactown” tattooed on his knuckles. He was last seen wearing an orange coat and camouflage pants.
According to the Durham Police Department, the family lives in Angier. The mother was allegedly put out the vehicle in Durham along the highway and Bryant allegedly made threats to kill himself and the child.

— Sheryl Bostic, 39, of Durham, was arrested Thursday on charges of failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge, disorderly conduct, carrying a concealed weapon, and felony possession of cocaine. She was released after posting bail of $5,000 and $1,000.
She was charged after allegedly threatening to assault another woman on a sidewalk, and allegedly carrying a makeshift knife made from a comb and box cutter.
— Tyrone Holley, 41, of Durham, was arrested Friday on charges of intent to sell and deliver a Schedule III controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and trafficking in opium or heroin.
Holley allegedly was in possession of 11.1 grams of Vicodin powder, a digital scale, and 11.1 grams of opiates.
He was being held at the Durham County Detention Center in lieu of $175,000 bail.
— Natalie Nicole Lane, 33, of Durham, was arrested Friday on charges of maintaining a vehicle or dwelling place to sell or keep a controlled substance, misdemeanor child abuse, possession with intent to sell and deliver Schedule II, Schedule VI, and Schedule III substances, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Lane was charged after she allegedly allowed her son to ride in a vehicle where cocaine, marijuana, and Oxycodone were present.
She was released after posting $10,000 bail.
— Eric Bernard Mann, 43, of Durham, was arrested Saturday on charges of communicating threats, misdemeanor larceny, possession of stolen goods, assault by strangulation, assault on a female, interfering with emergency communications and resisting a public officer.
Mann was charged for allegedly grabbed and tried to choke a woman with both hands, for allegedly striking another person and trying to interfere with an attempted call to the police. He allegedly ran from a police officer with a woman’s keys.
He was being held in the Durham County Detention Facility in lieu of $35,000 bail.
