Minor injuries in Durham school bus accident
Several students and a bus driver were injured in a bus accident Wednesday afternoon.
Bus 440, carrying 30 students from Brogden Middle School, was near the intersection of Club Boulevard and Farthing Street when a vehicle struck it from behind.
At least six students and the driver were treated for minor injuries, according to Chip Sudderth, spokesman for Durham Public Schools.
No information was available about the driver of the other vehicle. It’s not clear who was at fault or whether any charges are expected. Durham police officers still were investigating the accident Wednesday evening, said spokeswoman Kammie Michael.
