Man charged with keeping, selling drugs near Burton Elementary

DURHAM – Walter Anthony Arthur, 47, of Lakeland Street in Durham, was arrested Friday and charged with four counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute a controlled substance, possession of marijuana up to a half ounce, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a house used for keeping and selling a controlled substance, and manufacturing, selling or distributing a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school.

The Durham Police Department arrest report stated that Arthur had morphine, methylphenidate hydrochloride, diazepam and suboxone in his possession, as well as baggies, scales and blunts. He is charged with keeping drugs within 1,000 feet of Burton Magnet Elementary School on Mathison Street. He was released the same day from Durham County Jail on a $5,000 bond.

Durham man charged with taking indecent liberties with a child

DURHAM – Ines Gandiaga Reyes, 59, of Fisher Place in Durham, was arrested Saturday and charged with taking indecent liberties with a child who was 7 years old at the time of the incident. He was still in Durham County Jail Saturday under a $50,000 bond.

- Gustano A. Flores, 23, of Wake Forest Highway in Durham, was arrested Saturday and charged with felony breaking and entering and resisting a public officer. His bail was set at $5,000.

- Cornelius Anthony Solomon, 52, of North Hyde Park in Durham, was arrested Saturday and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, cocaine. He was still in Durham County Jail Saturday under a $1,000 bond.

- Dallas Wayne McCoy Jr., 41, of Sima Avenue in Durham, was arrested Friday and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and felony possession of a controlled substance, cocaine. He was still in Durham County Jail Saturday under a $1,500 bond.

- Steven Curtis, 34, of East Club Boulevard in Durham, was arrested Friday and charged with possession with intent to sell or distribute marijuana, maintaining an apartment used for keeping and selling a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released the same day from Durham County Jail on a $5,000 bond.

- Patricia Ann Montague, 24, of Plaza Drive in Garner, was arrested Friday and charged with obtaining property under false pretense and possession of stolen goods/property. She was released the same day from Durham County Jail on a $2,500 bond.

- Keith Wright, 41, of Bernice Street in Durham, was arrested Friday and charged with obtaining property under false pretense, forgery of instrument and uttering forged instrument. His bail was set at $2,500.

- Toni Marie Kuehn, 43, of Heritage Springs Circle in Wake Forest, was arrested Friday and charged with obtaining property under false pretense and identity theft. Kuehn’s bail was set at $2,500.

- Anthony Stewart, 17, of Sprucewood Drive in Durham, was arrested Friday and charged with injury to real property, felony breaking and entering, and resisting a public officer. He was still in Durham County Jail Saturday under a $15,000 bond.

- Tarvis Bostic, 32, of North Maple Street in Durham, was arrested Friday and charged with felony breaking and entering, cutting, mutilating, defacing or otherwise injuring personal or real property, and communicating threats. Bostic’s bail was set at $10,000.

- Maurice Jerome McPherson, 29, of Lowry Street in Durham, was arrested Friday and charged with felony breaking and entering and cutting, mutilating, defacing or otherwise injuring personal or real property. McPherson’s bail was set at $10,000.

- Niesha Shabrial Goodwin, 24, of Oran Avenue in Durham, was arrested Friday and charged with financial card theft, two counts of financial card fraud, two counts of obtaining property under false pretense and two counts of identity theft. She was released the same day from Durham County Jail on a $15,000 bond.

- William Edward Joe, 43, of Holloway Street in Durham, was arrested Friday and charged with second-degree burglary and larceny after breaking and entering. He was still in Durham County Jail Saturday under a $200,000 bond.

- Kelvin Jonathen Satterfield, 24, of Dowd Street in Durham, was arrested Friday and charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute a controlled substance, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of maintaining a house used for keeping and selling a controlled substance, and possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute marijuana. He was released the same day from Durham County Jail on a $15,000 bond.
