Fire damages Club Boulevard house
Fire heavily damaged a house Wednesday night and left the occupants displaced, Durham fire officials said.
No one was hurt.
Chris Iannuzzi, deputy chief of the Durham Fire Department, said firefighters were called at 9:57 p.m. to a one-story house at 914 E. Club Blvd. and saw heavy smoke from the rear.
All occupants were outside when firefighters arrived.
Iannuzzi said the fire was extinguished quickly, but heavily damaged the siding, soffit and insulation.
The Red Cross is providing temporary housing to two adults and a child.
Fire investigators were trying to determine the cause of the blaze Thursday.
Crews were at the scene almost two hours.
