Four charged in Domino’s delivery robbery
DURHAM – Durham police on Wednesday arrested four males in connection with the Jan. 13 robbery of a Domino’s driver on Drew Street.
Police say the driver was robbed at gunpoint while making a delivery. The suspects took cash, a phone, two pizzas and two boxes of CinnaStix.
Those charged include:
• Quadarius Lydell Evans, 19, of Drew Street. He was charged with assault by pointing a gun, robbery with a dangerous weapon, larceny of a motor vehicle, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon and assault. He was held without bond in the Durham County Jail.
• Kevin Marquez Morgan, 23, of Dunstan Avenue. He was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, assault by pointing a gun and assault. He was held in the Durham County Jail under $250,000 bond.
• Brian Carrington, 17, of Hearthside Street. He was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon. He was held in the Durham County Jail under $250,000 bond.
• Matthew Wayne Starks, 22, of Drew Street. He was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon and receiving stolen goods. He was held in the Durham County Jail under $285,000 bond.

Pair arrested, accused of robbing Denny’s employee
DURHAM – Police say a man and woman were involved in the Dec. 30 robbery of a Denny’s employee on N.C. 751.
David Lewis Taborn Jr., 23, and Angela Jean Christie, 21, both of Hudson Avenue, have been charged in the case.
Taborn was arrested Wednesday and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon and possession of a firearm by a felon. He was held in the Durham County Jail under $250,000 bond.
Christie also was arrested Wednesday. She faces charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon. She was held in the Durham County Jail under $100,000 bond.

In other news:

• Two men have been arrested in connection with a Dec. 27 robbery at gunpoint in the 1200 block of North Miami Boulevard. Marquis Daquon Black, 18, of Weldon Terrace in Durham was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon. He was held in the Durham County Jail under $500,000 bond. Devon McCollum, 19, of Snow Hill was arrested on similar charges and held in Greene County.
• Kevin Cunningham, 38, of Drew Street in Durham was arrested Wednesday and charged with selling or delivering heroin, conspiracy to sell or deliver heroin, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver heroin and manufacture, sale, delivery or possession of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a park. He was held in the Durham County Jail under $50,000 bond.
• Marlon Corbett, 36, of Bridgefield Street in Durham was arrested Wednesday and charged with conspiracy to sell or deliver heroin, selling or delivering heroin, selling or delivering a Schedule II controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, manufacture, sale, delivery or possession of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a park. He was held in the Durham County Jail under $50,000 bond.
• On Dec. 23, someone broke into a home in the 3100 block of Gibson Road and stole a Hebrew scroll and $300 worth of jewelry and precious metals.
• On Jan. 5, someone broke into a home in the 1000 block of Guthrie Avenue and stole a Dell laptop, kerosene heter, coins, three rings, a wi-fi box and a satellite box.
• On Dec. 20, someone broke into a home in the 2900 block of Carolyn Drive and stole an Xbox One, flatscreen television, a Nintendo DS, jewelry and a Ross .38 revolver.
• On Dec. 27, someone broke into a house in the 200 block of Driver Street and stole an Acer laptop, a Dell desktop computer, bed frame, water heater and several appliances, including a clothes dryer, freezer, stove and refrigerator.
• On Jan. 7, someone broke into a house in the 1500 block of Granby Street and stole a revolver worth $300.
• On Jan. 12, someone broke into a 1994 Honda Accord in the 1100 block of Guthrie Avenue and stole $475 cash and several tools.
• On Jan. 13, someone broke into a 2004 Ford Explorer in the 2300 block of Buffalo Way and stole a Bundy trumpet worth about $869.
