Woman accused of using revolver to steal cash, jewelry

DURHAM – Ebony Lamesha McNeil, 27, of Liberty Street, was arrested Friday and charged with communicating threats, assault by pointing a gun and robbery with a dangerous weapon. McNeil allegedly threatened another woman at the end of May with a black revolver and stole $60 in cash and a gold bracelet. Bail was set at $400,000.

In other crime:

  • Eulalio Rivera, 46, of S. NC Hwy 87 in Graham, was arrested Saturday and charged with possession of cocaine, driving while impaired and felony possession of a controlled substance. Bail was set at $3,000.
  • Maurice Vinshawn Cates Jr., 24, of Raynor Street in Durham, was arrested Saturday and charged with conspiracy to sell or deliver a controlled substance, crack. Bail was set at $5,000.
  • Tavarez Lee Brown, 26, of Massey Avenue in Durham, was arrested Saturday and charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver a controlled substance, crack. He also was charged with conspiring to sell and deliver a controlled substance, maintaining a vehicle for keeping and selling a controlled substance, simple possession of a controlled substance, and possession of marijuana up to half an ounce. Bail was set at $10,000.
  • Ron Christopher Jones II, 43, of Guess Road in Durham, was arrested Friday and charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle, shoplifting concealed goods and resisting a public officer. Bail was set at $2,500.
  • Bennie Franklin Cameron Jr., 32, of Quincy Street in Durham, was arrested Friday and charged with possession with intent to sell or distribute a controlled substance, crack cocaine. He also was charged with maintaining a vehicle for keeping and selling a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $2,500.
  • Michael Brandon Thumm Jr., 31, of East Oak Drive in Durham, was arrested Friday and charged with felony possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a vehicle resorted to persons using controlled substances. Bail was set at $2,000.
  • Mustafa Muhammad, 18, of Delano Street in Durham, was arrested Friday and charged with possession with intent to sell or distribute a controlled substance. Bail was set at $5,000.
  • Montique Shawn Palmer, 26, of Russell Road in Durham, was arrested Friday and charged with felony larceny. Bail was set at $2,500.
  • Jon Erwin Overby, 20, of Landon Street in Durham, was arrested Friday and charged with resisting a public officer, carrying a concealed gun and simple possession of a controlled substance, marijuana. Bail was set at $7,500.
  • Walter Buster Harris Jr., 36, of Wabash Street in Durham, was arrested Friday and charged with obtaining property under false pretense and insurance fraud. Bail was set at $15,000.
