Men wounded in East Durham shooting
Police have arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with a shooting in East Durham that wounded two men and damaged two vehicles and a house.
Officers were called at 9 p.m. Tuesday to a shooting in the 3000 block of Wedgedale Drive, Durham police spokeswoman Kammie Michael said.
She said two men who had been standing outside were shot – one in the ankle and the other in a leg. Bullets also hit two vehicles and a house.
The men were taken to the hospital for injuries that did not appear life-threatening, Michael said.
Police later arrested Daniel Platt of Walton Street in Durham. He is charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and discharging a firearm into a residence and vehicle.
Platt was in the Durham County Jail Thursday under a $250,000 bond.
