Duke’s football team gets the ACC spotlight in the Triangle today.
With North Carolina and N.C. State taking the weekend off, the Blue Devils will play Georgia Tech at Wallace Wade Stadium (3:30 p.m., ESPNU).
The Blue Devils aren’t the only area team playing today, as N.C. Central (1-1) visits the Charlotte 49ers (2-0) at noon.
Today’s game in Durham marks at homecoming for Georgia Tech quarterback Vad Lee, who led Hillside High School to the 2010 state championship when he was named the state’s prep player of the year.
Duke (2-0) is unbeaten after two games for the first time since 1998, and the Blue Devils haven’t been 3-0 since 1994.
Duke will play its first full game without starting quarterback Anthony Boone, who suffered a broken collarbone in last week’s 28-14 win at Memphis. Brandon Connette gets the start today against the Yellow Jackets.
