Man accused of assault

DURHAM – A Durham man was arrested following multiple assault charges in July.

Adrian R. Anderson, 19, of Wabash Street in Durham, was arrested and charged with assault on a female, simple assault and two counts of communicating threats to incidents dating back to July 12.

Anderson allegedly punched and slapped a woman and allegedly punched a man, knocked him to the ground and kicked him in the face. Anderson is accused of threatening them both.

He was being held with a $1,000 secured bond.

 

In other crime:

• Rashad Jillel Jackson, 21, of T.W. Alexander Drive in Durham, was arrested and charged with simple possession of a schedule VI controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a schedule VI controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after being accused of possession six individually wrapped baggies of marijuana inside a cigarillos package of marijuana and possession clear plastic baggies. Jackson was being held on a $2,000 secured bond before he was released.

• Thomas Edward Bullock, 45, of Crest Street in Durham, was arrested and charged with assault on a female after being accused of punching a woman in the face. He was being held without a bond.

• Coleman Edward Briggs Jr., 33, of Bowler Road in Durham, was arrested and charged with assault on a female and larceny from the person after allegedly pushing a woman down, ripping her glasses from her face, then taking her glasses. Briggs was being held without a bond.

• Abebi Bayo Stafford, 36, of 1st Street in Winston-Salem, was arrested and charged with domestic violence protection order violation after he allegedly communicated with the victim on something other than custody of their children. The protection order was issued on July 23. Stafford wad being held with a $1,000 secured bond but was released.

• Sherice Janelle Moss, 20, of Price Avenue in Durham, was arrested and charged with simple assault, failure to return rental property and injury to real property after allegedly punching a woman in the head and face, vandalizing a bedroom and damaging the front door of the residence. Moss was being held with a $1,500 secured bond.

• Aaron Becton, 49, of East Lawson Street in Durham, was arrested and charged with assault on a female after allegedly pushing a woman and punching her in the face. Becton was being held without a bond.

• Kenneth Lamont Bridges, 46, of Wedgedale Avenue in Durham, was arrested and charged with cyberstalking. He was being held with a $2,000 unsecured bond.
