Man shot during fight at University Square
Three men are sought in connection with a shooting at University Square early Tuesday morning.
The victim, unidentified by Chapel Hill police, had non-life threatening injuries after he was shot about 3:30 a.m. during a fight outside the Time Out Restaurant at 133 W. Franklin St.
The three suspects were described as light-skinned black males. The shooter may have worn a red jacket. One wore a Nike cap, while another wore a gray hooded sweatshirt. At least one had braided hair.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Chapel Hill Police Department at 919-968-2760 or Crime Stoppers at 919-942-7515. Calls to Crime Stoppers are confidential and anonymous, and the caller may get a cash reward of as much as $2,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
