Robber takes man’s ‘dirty clothes’
DURHAM – A 44-year-old man told police he was robbed of his dirty clothes and other property July 2 in the 100 block of North Dillard Street. Also stolen were $20, a Samsung cellphone, backpack, wallet, cigarettes, food and Medicaid card.
In other crime:
- Raheem Norwood Bass, 19, was arrested Monday and charged with extortion, communicating threats and possession of drugs on jail premises. He was in the Durham County Jail on Wednesday under bonds totaling $52,250.
- Napoleon K. Hedgepeth, 32, was arrested Saturday and charged with assault on a female, interfering with emergency communications and larceny of property. He was in the Durham County Jail on Wednesday under a $2,000 bond.
- Ray Anthony Blue Jr., 24, of Old Page Road was arrested July 3 and charged with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering and obtaining property by false pretense. He was released the same day from the Durham County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
- Christopher Rookwood, 17, of Lake Cook Drive was arrested July 1 and charged with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, injury to personal property and possession of stolen goods.
