Chapel Hill police charged two people after a disturbance involving a gun and a chase Monday night.
Police responded to an incident at 130 S. Estes Drive in Chapel Hill. As officers arrived, the suspects fled in a vehicle but were taken into custody after a brief pursuit that ended on Legion Road near Europa Drive, according to reports.
Police charged Valencia D. Fearrington, 44, of Fielding Court in Durham with misdemeanor resisting arrest and felony speeding to elude. She was held in the Orange County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
Police also charged Ahmud Quinnta Fearrington, 31, of the same address, with possession of a weapon by a felon, going armed to the terror of the public, and resisting police. He was held in the Orange County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
Valencia Fearrington listed her occupation as a teacher with the Durham Public Schools, but the school system was unable to confirm that information Tuesday.
