DURHAM – A Durham man was arrested after allegedly shooting at two men and damaging nearby cars.
Montique Shawn Palmer, 28, of Carin Court in Durham, was arrested Saturday and charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon and seven counts of injury to personal property.
According to the arrest warrant, Palmer shot at two men and damaged six cars with gunshot holes to windshields, bumpers and car doors.
Palmer is also accused of damaging the side of an apartment at 3725 Wiggins Street with a gunshot.
Palmer was being held with a $100,000 secured bond.
In other crime:
• David Fransico Vejarano Chavez, 46, of Cheek Road in Durham, was arrested and charged with felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance. He was being held with a $1,000 secured bond.
• Marcus Dwayne Ragland, 33, of Lednum Street in Durham, was arrested and charged with assault on a female, interfering with emergency communication and communicating threats after allegedly shoving and choking a woman, taking her cellphone so she couldn’t call 911 and telling her, “I’ll shoot you in the head and kill you.” He was being held without a bond.
• David Lee Henderson, 47, of Meriwether Drive in Durham, was arrested and charged with assault on a female. He was being held without a bond.
• Jose Eugenio Gonzalez-Solano, 37, of North Roxboro Street in Durham, was arrested and charged with assault on a female and interfering with emergency communication after being accused of pushing a woman and pulling her hair and taking away her cellphone. He was being held without a bond.
