Durham sees third homicide in less than a week
Someone shot and killed a 22-year-old man in front of a home on Glenbrook Drive late Friday.
It was the third homicide in Durham in less than a week.
The victim, whose name isn’t expected to be released until Monday, was found dead in the front yard of 2636 Glennbrook after police were called to the scene at about 10:48 p.m.
On Monday, at about 6:31 p.m., Maurice Frank Streeter, 27, was shot several times outside a strip mall near Fayetteville Street and Burlington Avenue. He later died of his wounds at the hospital.
On Tuesday, soon after midnight, police found the body of another man, Kelvin Ramon Leathers, 41, in a home at 1811 Guess Road near Northgate Mall.
No further details about any of these cases were made available late Saturday. No arrests were reported.
