Guided hikes planned for winter, spring

The Eno River Association hikes explore a new area of the river basin each Sunday afternoon from January to May in 2013.

The hikes start at 2 p.m. and are geared toward adults, but children are welcome with an accompanying adult. New hikes and programs will be starting this winter and continuing into the spring. Look for updates at www.enoriver.org.

No registration is required.

Transit schedules announced for MLK day

These service schedules will be in effect on Monday, Jan. 21 for the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday:

Triangle Transit will operate on a Saturday schedule. These routes will be in operation:

Route 100 serving: Raleigh-NCSU-RDU International Airport-Regional Transit Center

Route 400 serving: Durham Station-Duke/VA Hospitals-South Square-Patterson Place-New Hope Commons-Downtown Chapel Hill-UNC Hospitals

Route 700 serving: Durham Station-Durham Tech-Regional Transit Center

Route 800 serving: UNC Hospitals, UNC campus, Southpoint Mall, NC Hwy 54, and Regional Transit Center

Triangle Transit administrative offices will be closed. More information is available at triangletransit.org or by calling 919-485-RIDE.

 

Durham Area Transit Authority (DATA) and DATA ACCESS will operate on its Sunday/holiday schedule with hourly service is provided from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The Bull City Connector will operate on its holiday schedule with service every 20 minutes from 7:20 a.m. to 10 p.m.
