Police identify teen slain outside convenience store
Police on Friday identified a teen who was gunned down Wednesday in the parking lot of a convenience store.
The victim, Lashaun Lamont Hunt, 18, of Lexington Street, was shot several times in the parking lot of the Town & Country store at 3101 University Drive, police spokeswoman Kammie Michael said.
No charges have been filed, and investigators are trying to determine a motive, she said.
Detectives are trying to find two vehicles seen in the area at the time of the shooting, which happened shortly before midnight. One is described as a white or light-colored sport-utility vehicle and the other is a Nissan Altima of unknown color.

According to the N.C. Department of Correction, Hunt was convicted in Durham in 2010 of carrying a concealed weapon, a misdemeanor, and received a suspended sentence, probation and community service. On April 3, 2012, he was convicted in Durham of carrying a concealed weapon, a felony. He got a suspended sentence and probation, and was ordered to do community service work.
