Durham police car damaged in wreck
DURHAM – Early Friday, a Durham Police Department marked patrol car collided with a 2011 Chevrolet Camaro near Southpoint at N.C. Highway 54 and Fayetteville Road.
The accident happened about 2:30 a.m. as Corporal J.E. Stokes was responding to a call.
Stokes and the driver of the Camaro were treated at the scene by paramedics. Both vehicles were heavily damaged, according to police spokeswoman Kammie Michael. 

Missing Durham teen sought
DURHAM – Keila Valencia, a 16-year-old girl with a 4-month-old son named Edward, is missing with her child, according to Durham police.
Valencia doesn’t have custody of the child, investigators said. She was last seen at her home on Green Street on April 29.
Police think she might be with Oscar Villanueva, 20.
She’s described as a Hispanic female, 5 feet 2 inches tall and 155 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She wore black pants and a blue shirt.

Police seek help with Durham robbery
DURHAM – Durham police seek information about an armed robbery committed May 1 at the Subway at 4830 N.C. Highway 55.
A man with a gun entered the business just after 9:30 p.m., investigators said. He climbed over the counter, demanded cell phones from employees and took cash from a tip jar.
“He was last seen walking slowly away from the restaurant,” said police spokeswoman Kammie Michael.
The man was black, at least 6 feet tall, with some facial hair, and may have been in his 20s. He wore a large afro wig, blue short-sleeve shirt, gray jeans and black shoes. He carried a black book bag on his back.
