Durham man arrested for possessing heroin

DURHAM - Alquan Thomas, 36, of Goldendale Drive in Durham, was arrested Friday and charged with trafficking heroin, possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to sell, manufacture or distribute heroin, misdemeanor maintaining a house used for keeping and selling a controlled substance, and misdemeanor simple possession of a controlled substance, cocaine.

According to the arrest report, Thomas possessed 48 grams of heroin. He was in the Durham County Jail Saturday under $2.5 million bond.

  • Michael Brandon Thumm Jr., 32, of East Oak Drive in Durham was arrested Friday and charged with felony breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering. He was in the Durham County Jail under $5,000 bond.
  • Donta LaShawn Long, 27, of East Pilot Street in Durham was arrested Friday and charged with larceny after defeating an anti-theft device. He was in the Durham County Jail under $5,000 bond.
  • Michael Devone Page, 38, of Fay Street in Durham was arrested Friday and charged with possession with intent to sell or distribute marijuana, felony maintaining a house used for keeping and selling a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released from the Durham County Jail after posting $10,000 bond.
  • Thomas Keith Hutchins, 21, of Reams Avenue in Roxboro was arrested Friday and charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle. He was in the Durham County Jail Saturday under $5,000 bond.
  • Tony Antwan Clegg, 28, of Venus Drive in Durham was arrested Friday and charged with second-degree trespassing, felony breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering. He was in the Durham County Jail under $10,000 bond.
  • George Osborne Owens, 58, of Athens Street in Durham was arrested Friday and charged with larceny after breaking and entering, felony breaking and entering, misdemeanor larceny and first-degree trespassing. According to the arrest report, Owens stole a large, stainless steel sink from condemned property on South Alston Avenue, owned by Durham County Public Schools. He was released from the Durham County Jail after posting $5,000 bond.
