Fire hydrant caps stolen at mall
DURHAM – Police are investigating the theft of 25 fire hydrant caps at The Streets at Southpoint. Also reported stolen at the Street at Southpoint this week were five metal trash can lids, toilet plumbing items and two drainage grates, with a total value of $1,000.
In other crime:
- A fence worth $300 was stolen Wednesday from a house in the 300 block of Sowell Street.
- A 34-year-old woman said her Apple iPhone worth $450 was stolen Tuesday in the 1200 block of South Roxboro Street.
- Ammunition and $8,000 were stolen July 29 from a house in the 3200 block of Haddon Road.
- A mountain bicycle worth $600 was stolen Wednesday from the 1700 block of Bivins Street.
