Men wanted in Greensboro home invasion arrested in Durham
On Tuesday at 2 p.m., Christopher Elbert Dorsey, a 32, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force and the Durham County Sheriff’s Office. Members of the task force arrested Dorsey at 2420 Stadium Drive, Apartment D without incident.
On Wednesday at 3 p.m., Alfonso Jamal Smith, 26, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force and the Durham Police Department. Smith was taken into custody without incident at 1819 Sherwood Drive.
Dorsey and Smith were wanted by the Greensboro Police Department on charges of second-degree kidnapping (two counts), robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, assault with a deadly weapon, and first-degree burglary. These charges stem from a home invasion robbery that occurred on May 31, 2013, in Greensboro. It is alleged that during this incident, two female victims were tied up while Dorsey and Smith held them at gun point and ransacked the house.
