Mateo expands with upstairs room
Mateo Bar de Tapas, at 109 W. Chapel Still St., has opened an upstairs room for private functions as well as dinner on the weekends.
General Manager Mary Carr said in an email that it increases the seating capacity by 50 percent and offers a different atmosphere than the downstairs room.
“Heather Garrett decorated the room and created a lovely space with leather-clad chairs and rustic wooden tables,” Carr said.
Heather Garrett Interior Design, at 524 S. Duke St., has also worked with Kotuku Surf Club, The Federal and Magpie.
