Rise owner to partner in pasta restaurant: Tom Ferguson, the owner of Rise Biscuit and Donuts, is looking to partner to open a new, quick-service pasta restaurant.

Ferguson’s partner in opening the new eatery is Seth Kingsbury, the owner of the Chapel Hill’s Italian eatery Pazzo. It will be called The Rollout.

While they finalize their plans for the new business, they’re hosting pop-up pasta dinners throughout the summer from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays at Rise.

The menu will include a selection of hand-rolled pastas cooked to-order and served with focaccia.

The food will be packaged for take-out, but customers can sit outside the biscuit shop. Customers will need to provide their own beverages.

The first pop-up dinner will be on Wednesday. The menu will include braised short rib agnolotti with pomodoro for $11.95, goat cheese ricotta and spring pea ravioli with mascarpone cream sauce for $9.95, lasagna with béchamel (white sauce) for $11.95, and two different salads that will be sold separately.
