One injured in early morning shooting

DURHAM —Police said one person was injured and a car was “extensively shot-up” this morning at a Cook-Out on the 3600 block of Hillsborough Road. Durham Police said about 3:24 a.m.calls came in from the parking lot of the restaurant concerning a shooting. A bystander was injured during the shooting, but police do not know if it was from a bullet or class from a car window. The person had non-life threatening injuries but was transported to a local hospital to be looked at. Witnesses on scene said a dark-colored vehicle was seen leaving the area around the time of the shooting, but they were unable to give any more descriptions. During the course of the investigation this morning police found another car that was “extensively shot-up” on the 800 block of Underwood Avenue. The car had multiple bullet holes in it, as well as a flat tire. Police aren’t sure how many shots were fired, only saying that “numerous” casings were found. The case is still under investigation.
