Blues Festival to return

DURHAM – The annual Bull Durham Blues Festival will return Sept. 5 and 6 to its two-night format, with the final night of the festival returning to its traditional site, the Durham Athletic Park. Performers at the 27th Annual Bull Durham Blues Festival will include Kermit Ruffins & the Barbeque Swingers, The Campbell Brothers and Shemekia

Copeland.

Returning to a two day format, the festival will be held Sept.5 at the Hayti Heritage Center and Sept. 6 at the Durham Athletic Park, Hayti Heritage Center announced Monday.

Doors open both days at 5 p.m. and shows start at 6. Tickets for Sept. 5 performances are

$35 in advance and $40 at the door. Tickets for Sept. 6 performances are $45 in advance and $50 at the gate. Tickets will be available beginning June 3 with ETIX at
