Police ID five men arrested in overnight robbery
Five people were arrested Friday after a home invasion on East Club Boulevard.
Authorities said a Durham police officer was flagged down about 1 a.m. after a home invasion on East Club Boulevard. The man told the officer that he and two other men were walking toward the house on East Club when three men armed with rifles forced them into the house.
Police arrested James Earl Wilson Jr., 18, of Roxboro; Deonta Taborn, 21, of Roxboro; Dexter Poteat, 26, of Hurdle Mills; Jea’Ron Anthony Rogers, 18, of Roxboro; and Sean Thompson, 35, of Glenbrook Drive in Durham. Thompson is also known as Raheim Na Quon Young.
Two of the three victims were injured during the robbery and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Officers arrested the five suspects in connection with the case along the 2400 block of Glenbrook Drive.
The suspects took cash, jewelry, cellphones and tablets.
All five suspects were each charged with assault by pointing a gun, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, first degree burglary, larceny after breaking and entering, robbery with a dangerous weapon and second degree kidnapping. Poteat is also facing charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and assault on a female.
All five are currently in Durham County Jail with $5 million bonds each.
