Thieves target electronics

DURHAM – Cell phones and computers continue to be a favorite for thieves who break into vehicles and elsewhere.

- An IBM laptop computer, book bag and work materials worth $1,245 were stolen Saturday from a vehicle in the 400 block of Morehead Avenue.

- A tablet computer worth $300 was stolen Saturday from a vehicle in the 5100 block of Old Chapel Hill Road.

- A Blackberry cell phone and charger worth $425 were taken Saturday from a vehicle in the 100 block of East Main Street.

- Two Samsung Galaxy cell phones worth $1,599 were shoplifted Thursday from a Radio Shack in the 4200 block of University Drive.

- Thieves took a flat-screen television, $400, prescription drugs and a dresser safe July 15 from a house in the 100 block of West Club Boulevard.

In other crime:

- Kevin Green, 44, of Liberty Street was arrested Saturday and charged with breaking and entering.
