DURHAM – Locopops, a business on Hillsborough Road that sells frozen treats, was robbed of $600 on May 1. No arrest has been reported.
In other crime:
- A $3,000 air conditioner was stolen Saturday from Forrester and Associates in the 1200 block of Cole Mill Road.
- A 2000 Ford Windstar worth $3,000 was stolen May 1 from a residence in the 2700 block of Broad Street.
- Burglars hit a house May 1 in the 1800 block of Birmingham Avenue, taking two televisions, an Xbox, Wii, ring, watch and iPad worth a total of $3,500.
Police seek man in shooting
DURHAM - Police are trying to locate Michael Maurice “Mike Mike” Gill, who is wanted in connection with a Friday shooting on Liberty Street.
A 49-year-old man told officers he was walking in the 500 block of Liberty around 4:45 p.m. when men in a passing vehicle shot him in the arm. The victim was treated for his injury at a local hospital and released Friday evening.
Gill, 19, of Bacon Street is wanted on charges of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and felony conspiracy. He is known to frequent the area of McDougald Terrace.
Jamal Dunston, 18, of Lawson Street has already been arrested in connection with this case and charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and felony conspiracy.
