Fuse-Hall to head Bennett College

GREENSBORO – Rosalind Fuse-Hall, a former administrator at N. C. Central University and UNC Chapel Hill has been named president of Bennett College in Greensboro.

Fuse-Hall is scheduled to start her new position July 1, the college announced Monday. 

Previously, Fuse-Hall was chief of staff to the president and an interim director at Florida A&M University and worked at North Carolina Central University as the executive assistant to the chancellor.

At UNC, she was associate dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Chapel Hill and served as corporate secretary to the Board of Governors.

Fuse-Hall is a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill and Rutgers School of Law.

Durham One Call adds Spanish-language queue

DURHAM, N.C. – Now when callers whose primary language is Spanish contact Durham One Call, they may opt to have their call routed to the Spanish-language queue to be connected directly with the center’s Spanish-speaking contact center representatives.

NCCU to test emergency sirens

DURHAM-- North Carolina Central University Police and Emergency Management have scheduled maintenance work and testing of the campus’s outdoor emergency sirens this week.

Federal Signal Contractors will perform the work throughout the day Tuesday and Wednesday.

The sirens will be tested at various times throughout the two days but there will always be a "testing announcement" given with each test. If a true emergency occurs there will be Eagle Alerts PIER Text messaging and the siren announcement will state what the emergency is.
