Thousands in copper stolen

DURHAM – Thieves took copper parts worth $5,000 from an office building air conditioner in the 100 block of West Main Street. The theft was reported Monday.

In other crime:

- An air conditioner worth $3,000 was stolen Wednesday from a residence in the 300 block of North Hyde Park Avenue.

- Three school books worth $300 were reported stolen Monday from a vehicle in the 400 block of Yancey Street.

- A juvenile reported the theft Monday of his iPhone 4 worth $500 in the 800 block of Clayton Road.

- A Canon camera and $100 were stolen Tuesday from a home in the 1800 block of Cheek Road.

- An iPod and debit card were stolen Wednesday from a vehicle in the 100 block of Vestrial Lane.

- Thieves took a wallet and $130 from a vehicle in the 1100 block of Raynor Street. The theft was reported Wednesday.

- A Samsung cellphone worth $200 and a bicycle also worth $200 were stolen Sept. 29 from a home in the 400 block of Canal Street.

- An Apple Macbook Air computer worth $500 was stolen Wednesday from a vehicle in the 3400 block of Cambridge Road.

- Thieves broke into a vehicle Thursday in the 300 block of Alexan Driver and stole $350 and an Apple iPhone 4s worth $600.
