Woman injured in fatal crash out of hospital
A woman seriously injured in a bus crash Friday that killed her husband has been discharged from the hospital, The Virginian-Pilot of Norfolk reported Monday.
Theresa Watson had been in critical condition immediately following the Friday crash. Her husband, Doval Emmanuel Watson, 58, a trustee of St. Paul’s AME Church in Chapel Hill, died when the bus overturned.
The Watsons were chaperoning a group of students on a church trip to Hampton University. None of the six students, ages 13 to 17, was injured.
Theresa Watson’s condition had been upgraded to fair over the weekend. She was released from Norfolk General Hospital Monday.
Larry Brocks of Raleigh, driver of the bus owned by Horizon Coach Lines, was charged with reckless driving.
