Four arrested on drug charges at Durham apartment

DURHAM – Durham police arrested four people on drug charges Nov. 6 at an apartment on North Hyde Park Avenue in Durham.

Those charged in the case were:

-- David Jamel Herring, 20, of Sherwood Drive in Durham. He was charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting an officer. He was released from the Durham County Jail after posting $2,500 bond.

-- Mario Eubanks, 16, of Roxboro Street in Durham. He was charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting an officer. He was held under $25,000 bond.

-- Maurice Vinshaw Cates, 24, of Dilbert Street in Durham. He was charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting an officer. He was released from the Durham County Jail after posting $5,500 bond.

-- Willie Jackson, 19, of Rochelle Street in Durham. He was charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting an officer. He was released from Durham County Jail after posting $3,500 bond.

Man charged in September shooting

DURHAM – Bradley Davis Bagley, 18, of North Pointe Drive in Durham was charged Nov. 8 in connection with a Sept. 14 shooting on Monmouth Avenue, police officials said.

Bagley is accused of shooting someone in the stomach during an argument. He was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver marijuana and probation violation. He was held in the Durham County Jail under $65,000 bond.

In other crime:

-- M/I Homes on Nov. 4 reported the theft of about $15,000 worth of copper wire from sites on Briana Drive.

-- University Pediatrics Highgate on Highgate Drive on Nov. 7 reported the theft of a prescription notepad.

-- The owner of a 2000 Hyundai Sonata in the 400 block of Southerland Street on Nov. 4 reported that someone got into the car and stole a $200 Garmin GPS device and a $100 Canon PowerShot camera.

-- Stacey Daniel Cates, 22, of Lancaster Street in Durham was arrested Sunday and charged with assault on a female, battery of an unborn child, common law robbery, interference with emergency communications and felony stalking. He was held in the Durham County Jail under $25,000 bond.
