Teen faces gun charges
DURHAM – Police arrested a 16-year-old on gun charges Sunday.
Jose Rosario of Hardee Street was charged with carrying a concealed gun and possession of a Smith & Wesson handgun by a minor.
He was released Sunday from the Durham County Jail. He is due in court at 9 a.m. Feb. 11.
In other crime:
- Shakila Danelle Lewis, 26, of Severna Court, was arrested Sunday and charged with assault with a deadly weapon – a knife. An arrest warrant said Lewis tried to slice a woman’s torso.
Lewis was released Sunday from the Durham County Jail on a $2,000 bond and is due in court Jan. 23.
- Anthony Andre Joyner, 41, of Wadesboro Street, was arrested Saturday and charged with assault by strangulation, larceny and interfering with emergency communications.
- Gladys Nelydia Acevedo, 29, of Raleigh, was arrested Sunday by Durham police and charged with felony possession of cocaine. She was released Sunday from the Durham County Jail on a $1,500 bond and is due in court at 9 a.m. Jan. 3.
