A South Carolina man now faces murder charges in the slaying of Jessica Liriano and Jerron McGirt on Cheek Road.

Authorities in Darlington County took Michael Teon Brown, 28, of Hartsville, S.C., into custody on two counts of first-degree murder.
He’s accused of shooting the couple, who shared a home not far from Merrick-Moore Elementary School, just before 7 a.m. on Monday.
Durham investigators reported that Brown was Liriano’s ex-boyfriend.
Police also continued to investigate the week’s third homicide, from Tuesday afternoon, which saw 28-year-old Desmond Ramario Williams gunned down in the road in the 2600 block of East Shoreham Street.
According to a 911 recording released on Wednesday, a caller heard four gunshots, a pause of about 30 seconds and then another shot before looking outside.
He told the operator that he saw a black Acura TL “driving extremely fast down the street toward Cornwallis,” but didn’t know which way it went on Cornwallis.
“I didn’t see anything except the car,” the caller said, “but I heard something, for sure.”
No arrests had been reported in the Williams case late Wednesday.
