N.C. Central archivist inducted into historical society
Andre D. Vann, N.C. Central University’s coordinator of university archives and instructor of public history, was inducted into the Historical Society of North Carolina on March 28.
The society, founded in 1945, is comprised of scholars of North Carolina history, primarily from colleges, universities, libraries and archives throughout the state and is dedicated to the study and promotion of the state’s history. Membership is limited to 100.
Vann has been the university archivist in the James E. Shepard Memorial Library since 2007.
